Philip designs, builds, develops and deploys best-in-class learning experiences around issues of equity in the workforce for senior executives so that they can reimagine and rebuild their talent pipelines to become more inclusive. Prior to joining the peer learning community team, he designed and developed highly effective online training programs for managers, frontline health care workers, and historically excluded talent for Grads of Life, Cognotion Inc. and CorpU.
Phil is an educator at heart. He is committed to serving people who have not traditionally been served well. He has led schools in Philadelphia and Providence, Rhode Island, and has worked with young people as a teacher, youth counselor and outdoor educator in Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, Maine, Florida and South Africa. He has worked with students from ages 10 and up and is still in touch with some former students who are now almost as old as he is.
He holds an MBA from American University, an M.A. from Columbia University’s Teachers College, and a B.A. from Brown University. He lives in Philadelphia with his family.
