The Gulf Coast is experiencing widespread expansions in the petrochemical industry and is facing the retirement of over half of its current workforce. As a result, LyondellBasell has trouble filling roles with skilled employees.
With the support of LyondellBasell, San Jacinto College is building the Center for Petrochemical, Energy, and Technology (CPET). LyondellBasell employees also work with SJC employees to recruit students.
