Seeking to build a diverse and talented future workforce while enhancing opportunities for undeserved communities PG&E formed a partnership with non-profit Genesys Works.
“Genesys Works interns have helped our company and employees as much as we have helped them. I am proud to work for a company that recognizes the value of giving our youth opportunities to thrive.” - Jesus Soto, Senior Vice President of Gas Operations for PG&E
Recognizing the importance of its future workforce to the success of its business, PG&E set out to create a program to attract skilled and diverse talent while providing opportunities for individuals from underserved communities.
PG&E partnered with Genesys Works to launch an internship program to source trained and motivated talent. This partnership gave PG&E staff the opportunity to develop professionally through mentoring, while freeing them up to focus on high-level tasks as interns took on support tasks in a cost-effective manner.
